Hvoll is a local district museum at Dalvík. The museum's collection consists of thousands of items, most of them contributed by local people in Dalvik, Svarfaðardalur and Árskógsströnd. They include various tools and furnishings that provide insight to life and work in and around Dalvík, the history of the community, in addition to items of art and craft made by local people.
Inside the museum is a touch screen that allows visitors to experience the surrounding area through digital presentation. The solution itself is simple and produced with limited resourses, yet, it adds to the visitor's experience and provides knowledge from the area that otherwise would be less accessible.
